Niels Henrik Gregersen is Professor of Systematic Theology at the University of Copenhagen. He is the author of several books and has edited a dozen volumes in theology and the field of science and religion. Dr. Gregersen’s research interests include science and religion, with a focus on the significance of evolutionary theory and complexity studies; contemporary theology, especially the topics of creation and incarnation; philosophical and social anthropology, especially concerning risk-taking and generosity.

Professor Gregersen was a leader of the Danish Science-Theology Forum, Vice-President of The European Society for the Study of Science and Theology (ESSSAT), and a founding Executive Committee member and trustee for the International Society of Science and Theology (ISSR). He also represented the Evangelical-Lutheran Church in Denmark in The Lutheran World Federation and was chairperson of the board for the Institute for Ecumenical Research in Strasbourg.

Professor Gregersen has been a Fellow of Center of Theological Inquiry at Princeton University, the J.K. John Russell Fellow at the Center for Theology and the Natural Sciences, Berkeley, and a Boyle Lecturer. He lectures widely in Europe and the USA, and has been a keynote speaker at major conferences in South Africa, Australia, and Asia (China, Japan and South Korea).
